Learn about Japanese artist Hokusai, one of the world’s most celebrated printmaking artists. “The Great Wave off Kanagawa” has been called the most famous artwork in Japanese history. Inspired by the artist and piece we will use watercolor and markers to create our own “Great Wave" landscapes. This project was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
