Juneteenth Nevada offers a travel back to the beginning with the arrival of the Angolans on English soil in 1619, and move forward to Galveston with a stop at City Point VA enroute to the Texas Mexico border creating Juneteenth on June 19, 1865.
We will talk on the Tulsa OK massacre and the Rosewood FL tragedy, the Western territories where there were those enslaved by the native Americans until 1866 treaties were signed. The history of the US Colored Troops, their evolving into the Buffalo Soldiers and other destinations in the Juneteenth history. We recently recognized February 1st, National Freedom Day . acknowledging the signing of the 13th amendment in 1865 legislating freedom to the enslaved in all American states and territories. President Truman signed this legislation in 1948.
