Computer Basics Open Session

This group session is designed to help with basic computer questions & how to use digital tools or services. Check below for examples on restrictions. Passes available at the desk. Space is limited.

Please keep your questions brief. 1-2 questions per person.

We CAN help with:

• Setting up and using email
• Basic computer skills (mouse use, file saving, typing, etc.)
• Navigating websites, browsers, & search engines
• Using Microsoft Office programs
• Google Docs basics
• Using the Henderson Library’s online resources

We CANNOT help with:

• Completing personal, financial or legal documents (i.e. DMV help)
• Typing or editing documents
• Job application coaching or resume writing
• Troubleshooting non-library computer apps that require advanced expertise
• Extensive hardware issues or installing software
• Filing taxes or applying for government benefits (This includes ID.me)
• Helping with account access issues outside our control (e.g., locked out of Apple ID, email, or social media)
• Creating or managing social media accounts for commercial use or businesses
  

Ages 18+ Space is limited. Admission is on a First-Come First-Served basis. Passes for the program can be picked up 30-minutes prior at the Customer service desk. One pass per person present
