Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, AA Monet is a 2x published author and award-winning poet and screenwriter. Her first published work, "Lost And Found," is an interactive poetry book that allows the reader to name/title each of the poems. Her newly released 3-in-1 children’s book, "All The Things That Make You Special," allows children to not only read, but draw and color. With recent partnerships with local bookstores, restaurants, and daycares, AA Monet aims to leave a lasting impression throughout her community one book at a time!

I’ve wanted to be an author since taking a Creative Writing class in high school. After a teaching career (general education and special education), I began volunteering at McKee Ranch in Las Vegas taking care of the chickens and discovered my passion: chickens. My first four books are about a fictitious family with backyard chickens. I have since begun a series about the animals at McKee Ranch, starting with their potbelly pig, Stewart.

I think literacy is CRITICAL. I write picture books and chapter books for children that will entertain and educate the reader.
