Yin Yoga for Beginners

This calming yoga session can help improve flexibility, balance, and mindfulness. Space is limited. Passes are available at the Adult Services desk 30 minutes before the program.  

Yin Yoga is a meditative practice in which yoga poses are held for 1 to 3 minutes. Poses can be done standing, sitting, or from a chair. The practice integrates mindfulness, as each pose is a meditation. Gradual complete stretches build pliability in connective tissue and fascia, and stretching along acupressure meridians can improve the flow of energy. Yin Yoga is steady, passive, provides balance, and reduces stress.

Passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis until we run out. Attendees must be present to receive a pass. Please bring a yoga mat. A limited number of yoga mats are available for participants who don't have one. Socks are encouraged, but not required.
