Conduct, as determined by library staff, that disturbs library users or staff, or that hinders others from entering and using the library or library materials is prohibited.
Damage, destruction, tampering, or theft of library property is prohibited.
Any person creating or emanating a detectable odor or engaging in unhygienic behavior that disturbs other patrons or staff will be asked to leave the library until the situation is corrected.
Using the library without wearing shoes or clothes that cover the upper and lower torso is prohibited.
Consumption or possession of alcohol, smoking (including e-cigarettes) outside of designated areas, usage or selling of illicit drugs, or intoxication on library premises are prohibited.
Sleeping on library premises is prohibited.
Selling, solicitation, and panhandling on library premises are prohibited.
Bringing in an animal, unless it is a service animal assisting a person with a disability, is prohibited.
Profanity, fighting, or aggressive/threatening actions or behavior is prohibited.
The use of roller skates, roller blades, scooters, skateboards, and other sports equipment is prohibited.
Eating or drinking that is disruptive to other library users or creates a mess or damage to library facilities or materials is prohibited.
Unauthorized or improper use of library facilities or property is prohibited.
Weapons of any kind are prohibited.
Any personal items that appear to be unhygienic or have a foul odor that disturbs staff or other patrons are prohibited.
Bringing personal items into the library which singly or collectively exceed 24” x 14” x 12” is prohibited. Henderson Libraries is not responsible for personal items that are lost, stolen, or damaged. Personal items may not be left unattended. Personal items left unattended may be subject to disposal. Bedrolls, large backpacks on a frame, shopping carts filled with clothing or possessions, suitcases, or other large paraphernalia should be left off library property.
Parents or legal guardians are responsible for the safety and conduct of their minor children at all times.
While in the library, all children 10 years old and younger must be supervised by a caregiver who can ensure their safety and appropriate conduct.
Exhibiting materials that are harmful to minors as described by Nevada Revised Statute 201.256 is expressly prohibited.
