Did you know that when you use Google and other popular search engines your results are based on past user behavior? Search privacy is a growing concern. Pew reports that 66% of adults do not feel confident that activity records maintained by search engine providers will remain private and secure (May 2015). In addition, the 2016 presidential election has shed a spotlight on the growing number of fake news websites. In this session, we'll discuss Google behavior-tracking and how to determine if news sites are credible. Class size is limited to 12 and is first come/first served.
